Wellbe4OSH – Observatory of Well-Being for Occupational Safety and Health aims to conduct an in-depth study of management practices and the well-being of professionals in the engineering and construction sectors, as well as of their organizations, while fostering communication and dialogue among organizations, professionals, and other relevant stakeholders.
The initiative seeks to establish a platform for dialogue among the various stakeholders in the construction sector, to characterize the national situation regarding intervention needs, program design/structuring, and evaluation of intervention initiatives. The Observatory intends to propose innovative policy measures with an impact on management, professional recognition, well-being, and the healthy and sustainable development of engineering and construction professionals and organizations, maintaining continuous engagement with society.
The following specific objectives can be identified:
To characterize management practices, as well as the needs related to the promotion of well-being, occupational health and safety, and the prevention of psychosocial and other work-related risks affecting professionals and organizations in the engineering and construction sectors in Portugal;
To characterize the forms of dialogue among the various stakeholders in the sector;
To assess the responses provided and their adequacy in meeting the identified needs;
To identify and disseminate best practices;
To propose appropriate measures to the relevant authorities;
To identify and propose relevant and emerging areas or topics for research and development;
To conduct an in-depth study of the relationship between management, health, safety, well-being, and productivity from a strategic perspective;
To disseminate data through an annual report;
To provide training and consultancy in management and well-being within the engineering and construction sectors;
To provide opinions on relevant matters concerning management and well-being in the engineering and construction sectors;
