She holds a PhD in Tourism from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve and is currently the Director of the Department of Tourism at the Lusófona University. As an integrated researcher at INTREPID LAB|CETRAD|Lusófona University, she brings with her over 25 years of teaching experience and a robust academic portfolio in the areas of tourism and hospitality. Her research focuses on creative tourism, sustainability, lifestyle entrepreneurship, second homes and the competitiveness of tourist destinations. She is the author of books, several scientific articles and book chapters. Her expertise is further demonstrated by her active participation in EU-funded research projects.
