The Portuguese Lab for Healthy Workplaces aims to study in depth, systematically and ecologically the health and well-being of professionals and organizations and to collaborate in the promotion and protection of health and risks in work environments in Portugal, not neglecting performance.

 

The aim is to characterise the national situation in terms of intervention needs and the rationale, design/structuring, evaluation and innovation of intervention programmes and policies. Furthering their impact on health and well-being, healthy and sustainable development of professionals and organisations in constant connection with society, in a logic anchored in the triple bottom line (Profit, People, Planet).

 

The following specific objectives can be identified:

Characterize the management, needs in terms of promoting well-being and preventing psychosocial risks and other risks related to the activity of tourism and hospitality professionals and organizations in Portugal;​​

Characterize the forms of dialogue between the different stakeholders in the sector;

Evaluate the responses and their suitability to needs;

Identify and disseminate good practices;

Propose appropriate measures to the competent entities;

Identify and propose relevant and emerging areas/themes for research and development;

Study in depth the relationship between management, well-being and productivity from a strategic perspective;

Disclose data in an annual report;

Training and consultancy in the area of management and well-being in the tourism and hospitality sector;

Provide opinions on relevant issues in the area of management and well-being in the tourism and hospitality sector.
